The Executive Board of the Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters, IAFF Local 1563, proudly recommends Delegate Dana Jones for Maryland Senate, District 30.  

Delegate Jones has demonstrated exemplary dedication to the safety of Anne Arundel’s citizens, and their fire fighters and paramedics.  

At a time when Fire Departments across Maryland face unprecedented recruitment challenges, Delegate Jones sponsored, and passed a substantial expansion of the Charles W. Riley Firefighter and Rescue Squad Member Scholarship Program.  The Riley Scholarship program facilitates the development of home grown emergency responders, and provides a pathway to a fulfilling career for our graduates.   

Further, Delegate Jones has invested in Fire Fighter health through the Maryland Professional and Volunteer Firefighters Innovative Cancer Screening Technologies Program.  Fire Fighters suffer from occupational cancer at a much higher rate than the general public, and early screening saves lives.  

We trust Delegate Jones’ leadership, and look forward to working with her to keep the District 30 community safe.
