2026 General Election Press Release

From the bottom of my heart, thank you, District 30A.
Last night, you once again placed your trust in me to serve as your Delegate in the Maryland General Assembly. I am deeply humbled, incredibly grateful, and more determined than ever to continue fighting for the people and communities I love.
This victory belongs to all of you. It was the result of a people-powered campaign built on hard work, compassion, and a shared belief that we can continue to build a stronger future for our district and for Maryland.
To the countless volunteers who knocked on doors, made calls, put up signs, and gave their time; to the advocates and organizations who stood with me and endorsed my campaign; to our neighbors, supporters, Election Day workers, and every voter who participated in our democracy, Thank You!
To my extraordinary campaign staff, whose dedication and tireless work made this victory possible, I am forever grateful. And to my incredible family, who have sacrificed so much and supported me through every challenge and every triumph, none of this would be possible without you. I love you so very much.
For the past six years, I have had the extraordinary privilege of serving this community. Together, we have fought to protect fundamental freedoms, strengthen our schools and libraries, support our most vulnerable neighbors, defend the rights of women and families, and invest in the communities we call home. We have accomplished so much, but there is still much more to do.
I have never taken the responsibility of representing you lightly, and I never will.
As I have said many times, this work has never been about me. It has always been about the people we serve and the communities we are working to strengthen. My promise remains unchanged: to listen, to advocate, and to fight relentlessly for the needs of every person in every corner of our district.
Too many families are still struggling to make ends meet. Too many Marylanders are finding the dream of homeownership out of reach. Too many of our neighbors still face barriers to opportunity. And with the chaos that came from Washington these last two years, our responsibility to protect Marylanders, defend our values, and stand up for our most vulnerable has never been greater.
I am also immensely proud of the talented candidates I had the privilege of running alongside, and thrilled to see so many earn resounding victories. Last night demonstrated the power of coordinated and compassionate campaigns - campaigns grounded in decency, in loving our neighbors, and in the conviction that every person deserves dignity, respect, and opportunity.
We can be fierce in our convictions without losing our compassion. We can stand strong in the face of adversity while choosing to lead with love. And we can fight fiercely for what is right while refusing to let fear and division define who we are.
Thank you, District 30A. It remains an honor to serve you.
