Legislative Internship

The office of Delegate Dana Jones has internship opportunities available to college/university students or professionals throughout the year. These internships provide an opportunity to gain hands-on legislative and policy experience. College students who qualify, may earn academic credits as well. We are seeking interns who:

  • Have a good work ethic;

  • Possess basic technology skills (Excel, Word, Google Docs, database management, data entry);

  • Can work independently – and as a member of a team; and 

  • Is fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 pandemic and have the ability to work in person from our Annapolis office.

 

Responsibilities may include: conducting legislative research; attending committee hearings and briefings; taking meeting notes; data entry; responding to constituent inquiries and accompanying the Delegate at district events.

Campaign Internship:

In addition to our legislative internship program, Delegate Dana Jones invites anyone who's interested in an opportunity to work with her campaign to please email a copy of their resume to dana@danajones30a.com with the email subject line, "Campaign Intern" As a campaign intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside Dana and her campaign team as they talk to voters, attend community meetings, volunteer for food distributions and so much more. 

Responsibilities may include: conducting research; canvassing neighborhoods, helping with campaign messaging, and accompanying the Delegate at district and campaign events.
