  • Grants for Artists: The Grants for Artists program aims to contribute to the sustainability of artists’ livelihoods by providing funds that support working or living expenses. The Grants for Artists program provides financial support accompanied by recommended, MSAC-supported professional development offerings tailored to meet the needs of artists working in various genres and media. 

  • One step away: The purpose of the One Step Away State Grant Program is to improve college completion by providing associate and bachelor’s degree-granting Maryland institutions with funds to identify, contact, re-enroll, and graduate near-completer students.

  • Edward J. Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant: Byrne Justice Assistance Grants support a broad range of state and local criminal justice initiatives critical to Maryland's ultimate goal of safe communities. Funds are intended to reduce existing gaps in service that impact violent crime, crime victims, enforcement, prosecution, adjudication, detention, and rehabilitation.

  • Child Sex Trafficking Screening and Services Act Regional Navigator Program (RNPG): The purpose of the FY 2023 Child Sex Trafficking Screening and Services Act Regional Navigator Program Grant (RNPG-ARPA) grant funding is to expand programming projects. Department of Treasury establishes eligibility criteria that must be met by all organizations that receive RNPG-ARPA funds.

  • TEDCO (Maryland Technology Development Corporation) provides entrepreneurial business assistance and seed funding for developing startup companies in Maryland through various programs. Explore TEDCO programs here.

  • The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs are highly competitive programs that encourage domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research/Research and Development with the potential for commercialization. The Governor’s Grants Office offers year-round grant application opportunities. Grants cover numerous areas which can be viewed in full here

The Department of Labor hosts information related to grants for businesses and other non-government organizations. Different organizations provide these grants, but the leading site to look through them can be found here.
