🇮🇪 American Irish State Legislators Ireland Visit 🇮🇪
Proud to be in Dublin as a Co-Chair of the Maryland Irish Legislative Caucus! I look forward to productive conversations over the next few days as we mark the 25th Anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, which resulted in bringing peace to the island of Ireland. This will mark the largest gathering of American State Legislators, of both State & Federal, to ever gather in Ireland!
This trip is made even more special as a state Delegate from Annapolis, home to the United States Naval Academy who play this Saturday against Notre Dame in Dublin. Stay tuned to my Facebook Page for more updates in the coming days!
Thank you to Mayor Bill!
Congratulations and happy birthday to Mayor William "Bill" Sanders III, DrPH of the historic Highland Beach community! Earlier this month the town celebrated Mayor Bill’s, and First Lady Zora's, 19 years of service. In addition to Mayor Sanders' birthday!
Together they spearheaded green improvements to the town hall that made it just the second LEED Platinum certified building in the State, organized the re-construction of the Dr. Mary Church Terrell Pavilion, and so much more. It has been wonderful working with them both, and I thank them for their dedicated service!
Important Maryland 529 Update
Update from Treasurer Dereck Davis on the Maryland Prepaid College Trust:
As of this week, the online portal will automatically reflect account holders' earnings. This means that account holders will now be able to view and access their full account values, including any earnings that accrued in accordance with the Treasurer’s earnings rate decision announced on July 10, without the need for a manual calculation.

Inspiring Service to the Community!
I want to take a moment to highlight the incredible work happening at the Discoveries: the Library at the Mall Community Pantry! Since opening just over two years ago, the pantry has met overwhelming need and continues to grow to serve more families. In just the last year, the pantry has distributed tens of thousands of diapers and other supplies, in addition to critical services like immigration resources, school registration, and more. Thank you so much to everyone who donates, volunteers, and helps to make this incredible resource a reality!
For more information on the pantry, including what items are in need of donations, please see their website HERE!
